Knowra Kanuri language Kanuri language Kanuri is a Nilo-Saharan language spoken chiefly around Lake Chad, especially in northeastern Nigeria, southeastern Niger, and parts of Chad and Cameroon. It has several regional varieties and a long history as a language of administration and Islamic scholarship in the Kanem–Bornu region.
Kanembu language : A language of the Lake Chad region closely related to Kanuri and often treated as its variety. Kanembu is the closest major linguistic relative and is sometimes classified within Kanuri.
Kanuri grammar : The rules governing word forms, sentence structure, and grammatical relationships in Kanuri. Its agglutinative morphology and sentence patterns distinguish Kanuri from many neighboring languages.
