Karen Blixen

Karen Blixen (1885–1962), who published internationally as Isak Dinesen, was a Danish writer known for Seven Gothic Tales and Out of Africa. Her fiction often blends oral storytelling, historical settings, and mythic motifs.

Isak Dinesen: The pen name under which Karen Blixen published much of her work in English. This internationally recognized name links Blixen’s Danish identity to her English-language career.
