Karl Renner

Karl Renner (1870–1950) was an Austrian Social Democratic politician who became the first chancellor of the First Austrian Republic and Austria’s first postwar president.

Otto Bauer: An Austrian Marxist theorist and Social Democratic politician who led the party’s left wing after 1918. Bauer and Renner represented influential, sometimes competing, approaches within Austrian Social Democracy.
