Karun River

The Karun is Iran’s longest river flowing entirely within the country. It rises in the Zagros Mountains and joins the Arvand Rud near Khorramshahr.

Zard-Kuh: A mountain massif in the Zagros range in western Iran. The Karun’s principal headwaters rise on this massif.
