Ken Mattingly

Ken Mattingly is an American astronaut and naval aviator who served as command module pilot on Apollo 16 and commanded Space Shuttle missions.

Apollo 16: The 1972 NASA mission that landed astronauts John Young and Charles Duke on the Moon. Mattingly orbited the Moon as command module pilot while his crewmates explored the surface.
Thomas K. Mattingly II: The full name of American astronaut and naval aviator Ken Mattingly. This is the formal name used in biographies and official records.
