Khobar is a city in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province on the Persian Gulf, forming part of the Dammam metropolitan area near Dhahran.
Dammam: Dammam is the capital of Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province and a major port on the Persian Gulf. Khobar and Dammam form adjoining urban centers within one metropolitan area.
Saudi Aramco: Saudi Aramco is a Saudi Arabian state-owned petroleum and natural gas company headquartered in Dhahran. Its nearby headquarters make the Khobar area a major center for oil-sector services and employment.
Khobar Water Tower: The Khobar Water Tower is a landmark water tower on an island off Khobar’s waterfront. It is one of the city’s most recognizable coastal landmarks.
