Knowra King Oliver King Oliver King Oliver (Joseph Nathan Oliver) was an American jazz cornetist and bandleader whose New Orleans and Chicago ensembles helped establish early jazz and launch Louis Armstrong’s career.
Louis Armstrong : An American trumpeter, singer, and bandleader who transformed jazz performance and popular music. Armstrong joined Oliver’s Creole Jazz Band in Chicago, where Oliver mentored him.
