King Vidor

King Vidor (1894–1982) was an American film director, producer, and screenwriter whose career spanned silent and sound Hollywood. His films ranged from social dramas to musicals and westerns.

The Big Parade: A 1925 silent war film directed by King Vidor, following an American soldier from enlistment through combat in France. Its commercial and critical success established Vidor as a major director of the silent era.
