Kinshasa

Kinshasa is the capital and largest city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, on the Congo River across from Brazzaville.

Henry Morton Stanley: A Welsh-American explorer and journalist who traveled through Central Africa and founded a settlement at the Congo River pool. Stanley established the post that became Kinshasa in 1881.
Congo River: A major Central African river that flows through the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the Atlantic Ocean. The river links Kinshasa to inland ports and places it opposite Brazzaville.
