Kolkata Metro Line 1 : Kolkata Metro’s north–south rapid-transit line, running between Dakshineswar and Kavi Subhash. This was the system’s original line and remains its principal north–south corridor.
Bidhannagar : A planned city in West Bengal, also known as Salt Lake, east of central Kolkata. Early metro planning proposed connecting Kolkata’s center with this growing eastern district.
