Lake Constance

Lake Constance is a large Central European lake bordered by Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The Rhine flows through it, and glacial processes shaped its basin.

Rhine: The Rhine is a major European river that flows from the Swiss Alps through western Europe to the North Sea. It enters the lake at the east and exits at the west, carrying water through the basin.
Rhine Glacier: The Rhine Glacier was an Alpine glacier that advanced into the foreland during past ice ages. Its erosion and deposits helped create the basin occupied by Lake Constance.
