Lake Nicaragua

Lake Nicaragua, also called Lake Cocibolca, is a large freshwater lake in southwestern Nicaragua. It contains Ometepe Island and drains toward the Caribbean Sea through the San Juan River.

San Juan River: A river flowing from Lake Nicaragua eastward to the Caribbean Sea. It carries the lake’s outflow across Nicaragua to the Caribbean.
