Lana Turner

Lana Turner (1921–1995) was an American film and television actress whose career spanned nearly five decades, including leading roles in The Postman Always Rings Twice and Imitation of Life.

The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946 film): A 1946 film noir in which an illicit affair leads to murder and a contested insurance claim. Turner’s performance as Cora Smith became one of her defining dramatic roles.
William R. Wilkerson: An American newspaper publisher who founded The Hollywood Reporter in 1930. His account of spotting Turner helped establish the origin story of her screen career.
