Larry Summers

Larry Summers is an American economist who served as U.S. Treasury secretary, president of Harvard University, and director of the National Economic Council.

Robert Rubin: Robert Rubin is an American financier and former U.S. Treasury secretary who served in the Clinton administration. Rubin led Treasury before Summers and recruited him as deputy secretary.
United States Department of the Treasury: The United States Department of the Treasury manages federal finances, collects taxes, and advises on economic policy. Summers led the department during the Clinton administration from 1999 to 2001.
Glass–Steagall legislation: Glass–Steagall legislation separated commercial banking from investment banking in the United States. Summers supported the 1999 repeal of key separation provisions while serving at Treasury.
