Latin American television

Latin American television comprises the industries, broadcasters, and programming produced across Latin America. It is internationally known especially for telenovelas, alongside news, comedy, sports, and other formats.

Telenovela: A serialized television melodrama, commonly built around romance, family conflict, and a finite narrative arc. This signature export has shaped the region’s global television identity.
Television network: An organization that distributes television programming to affiliated stations or directly to viewers. National networks have organized much of the region’s broadcast production and reach.
