Lazare Carnot

Lazare Carnot (1753–1823) was a French mathematician, military engineer, and politician who helped organize French armies during the Revolutionary Wars and served in several governments.

Maximilien Robespierre: A French revolutionary politician who became a leading figure in the Committee of Public Safety. Carnot served on the same committee during the Reign of Terror, though their political roles differed.
