Lea Salonga

Lea Salonga is a Filipino singer and actress who originated leading roles in musical theater and sang the speaking and singing voices of Disney’s Jasmine and Mulan.

Miss Saigon: A musical by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil about an American GI and a Vietnamese woman during and after the Vietnam War. Salonga originated Kim in the 1989 London production and won the Olivier Award for the role.
Claude-Michel Schönberg: A French composer and musical-theater writer known for Les Misérables and Miss Saigon. His Miss Saigon score contains the role that launched Salonga’s international stage career.
