Leonid Utyosov

Leonid Utyosov was a Soviet singer, actor, and bandleader who helped popularize jazz and popular song in the Soviet Union.

Isaac Dunayevsky: A Soviet composer of operettas, film scores, and popular songs. He composed music for Utyosov’s orchestra and the film Jolly Fellows.
Jolly Fellows: A 1934 Soviet musical comedy film directed by Grigori Aleksandrov. Utyosov starred as a shepherd mistaken for a celebrated jazz musician.
