Leslie Nielsen

Leslie Nielsen was a Canadian-American actor whose career moved from serious screen roles to deadpan comedy in films such as Airplane! and The Naked Gun.

Airplane!: A 1980 comedy film that parodies disaster movies through rapid-fire wordplay and absurd situations. Nielsen played Dr. Rumack, delivering the film’s most enduring deadpan exchanges.
Deadpan: A comic delivery characterized by little or no visible emotional reaction. Nielsen’s calm responses made absurd lines sound like ordinary statements.
