Lester B. Pearson

Lester B. Pearson was a Canadian diplomat and prime minister who received the 1957 Nobel Peace Prize for helping resolve the Suez Crisis.

Dag Hammarskjöld: Dag Hammarskjöld was a Swedish diplomat who served as secretary-general of the United Nations from 1953 until his death in 1961. As UN secretary-general, he worked with Pearson during the Suez Crisis.
United Nations Emergency Force: The United Nations Emergency Force was a peacekeeping force created in 1956 to supervise the withdrawal of forces from Egypt after the Suez Crisis. Pearson proposed this force to separate combatants and make a ceasefire workable.
