Li Peng

Li Peng (1928–2019) was a Chinese Communist Party politician who served as premier of the People’s Republic of China from 1988 to 1998 and chairman of the National People’s Congress from 1998 to 2003.

Deng Xiaoping: Chinese Communist revolutionary and paramount leader who initiated economic reforms and opened China to global markets. Deng’s leadership shaped the political environment in which Li became premier.
