Libertad Lamarque

Libertad Lamarque (1908–2000) was an Argentine actress and tango singer whose career spanned film, radio, theater, and television in Argentina and Mexico.

Tango: A musical genre and dance that developed in the Río de la Plata region around the turn of the twentieth century. Lamarque became one of tango’s best-known singers and carried its songs into popular cinema.
