Linen

Linen is a textile made from fibers of the flax plant. Its strong, absorbent fibers produce a fabric known for a crisp texture and cool feel.

Flax: Flax is a crop plant grown for its seeds and strong bast fibers. Linen begins with bast fibers extracted from flax stems.
Cellulose: Cellulose is a structural carbohydrate that forms the main substance of plant cell walls. Flax fibers are rich in cellulose, which contributes to their strength.
Linen shirt: A linen shirt is a garment made wholly or partly from linen fabric. Its breathable, absorbent fabric makes it common in warm-weather clothing.

Hemp fiber: Hemp fiber is a bast fiber obtained from the stems of Cannabis plants. Hemp and flax are related textile fibers, but their fabrics differ in feel and common uses.
