Londinium

Londinium was a Roman settlement founded on the Thames in the first century CE. It grew into the principal city of Roman Britain and the predecessor of modern London.

Roman roads in Britain: A network of roads built or adapted under Roman rule to connect settlements and military sites across Britain. Roads linked Londinium with provincial towns, forts, and ports.
