Lorestan Province

Lorestan is a province in western Iran, centered on the Zagros Mountains and administered from Khorramabad. Its landscape includes high mountains, valleys, and major river systems.

Zagros Mountains: A mountain range extending across western Iran and parts of Iraq and Turkey. The range forms Lorestan’s dominant physical setting and shapes its valleys and climate.
