Los Ríos Region

Los Ríos Region is an administrative region in southern Chile, established in 2007 with Valdivia as its capital.

Valdivia: A city in southern Chile and the capital of Los Ríos Region. It is the regional capital and the principal urban center.
Los Lagos Region: An administrative region in southern Chile, adjoining Los Ríos to the south. Los Ríos was separated from this region when it was created.
Corral Bay: A bay on Chile’s Pacific coast at the mouth of the Valdivia river system. It links the region’s river network and port activity to the Pacific.
Río Cruces: A river in Los Ríos Region that flows through wetlands north of Valdivia. Its wetland ecosystem became central to a major environmental conflict.
