Louis Aragon

Louis Aragon (1897–1982) was a French poet, novelist, and essayist whose work moved from Surrealism toward socialist realism and Communist commitment.

Surrealism: An artistic and literary movement that sought to release imagination from rational control. Aragon helped establish Surrealism through its early experiments in poetry and prose.
