Louis Farrakhan

Louis Farrakhan is an American religious leader who has led the Nation of Islam since 1977. He is known for his speeches, political activism, and controversial public statements.

Elijah Muhammad: Elijah Muhammad led the Nation of Islam from 1934 until his death in 1975. Farrakhan followed Muhammad’s teachings and later rebuilt the organization under its original name.

W. D. Fard: W. D. Fard founded the movement that became the Nation of Islam in Detroit in the 1930s. Fard’s movement is the institutional origin of the organization Farrakhan leads.
Final Call: The Final Call is a newspaper founded by Louis Farrakhan in 1979 and published by the Nation of Islam. It became a prominent outlet for Farrakhan’s messages and the organization’s positions.
