Louis Le Prince

Louis Le Prince was a French inventor who built early motion-picture cameras and made Roundhay Garden Scene in 1888, one of the oldest surviving films.

Roundhay Garden Scene: A brief film made by Louis Le Prince in Leeds in 1888, showing four people walking in a garden. This surviving film is the best-known result of Le Prince’s motion-picture experiments.
