Lualaba River

The Lualaba is the upper course of the Congo River, flowing through southeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo before becoming the Congo at Boyoma Falls.

Boyoma Falls: A series of rapids and cataracts on the Congo River near Kisangani, where the Lualaba becomes the Congo. These falls mark the Lualaba’s downstream transition into the Congo.
