Luigi Galvani

Luigi Galvani (1737–1798) was an Italian physician and physicist whose experiments on frog muscles helped establish the study of bioelectricity.

Galvani's frog experiments: Experiments in which electrical contact caused dissected frog muscles to contract. These observations supplied the evidence behind Galvani’s claim that animal tissue produces electricity.
