Lynden Pindling

Lynden Pindling was a Bahamian politician who led the country to independence from Britain and served as its first prime minister from 1973 to 1992.

Progressive Liberal Party: The Bahamian political party founded in 1953 that led the country to independence and governed under Pindling. Pindling led the party through its rise to power and independence negotiations.
