Prespa Agreement : A 2018 agreement between Greece and the Republic of Macedonia that settled their naming dispute. It enabled the state’s renaming and removed Greece’s objection to its NATO accession.
Ilinden–Preobrazhenie Uprising : An 1903 uprising against Ottoman rule in the regions of Macedonia and Adrianople, organized by revolutionary networks. The uprising became a landmark in later accounts of Macedonian liberation and statehood.
