Cerebrospinal fluid : Clear fluid that circulates through the brain’s ventricles and around the brain and spinal cord. Excess fluid can enlarge the head, especially when cranial sutures remain open.
Head circumference : The measurement around the largest part of the head, used to track skull growth, especially in infants and young children. Macrocephaly is defined by this measurement relative to age and sex.
