Mae Jemison

Mae Jemison is an American physician, engineer, and former NASA astronaut who became the first Black woman to travel in space aboard Space Shuttle Endeavour in 1992.

Sally Ride: Sally Ride was an American physicist and NASA astronaut who became the first American woman in space in 1983. Ride’s earlier spaceflight forms a milestone in the history Jemison extended as the first Black woman in space.
