Mahir Çayan

Mahir Çayan was a Turkish Marxist revolutionary and founding leader of the People’s Liberation Party-Front of Turkey. He was killed by Turkish security forces in 1972 during the Kızıldere operation.

Hüseyin Cevahir: Hüseyin Cevahir was a Turkish revolutionary and leading member of the People’s Liberation Party-Front of Turkey. Cevahir worked closely with Çayan and was killed during the 1971 siege at Maltepe.
People’s Liberation Party-Front of Turkey: The People’s Liberation Party-Front of Turkey was a Marxist revolutionary organization founded in 1970. Çayan founded and led this organization, which carried out armed actions against the state.

Marxism–Leninism: Marxism–Leninism is a revolutionary political tradition combining Marxist class analysis with Leninist party organization and imperialism theory. It supplied the broad ideological framework for Çayan’s revolutionary politics.
Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party-Front: The Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party-Front is a Turkish Marxist organization founded in 1994. Its political tradition draws on the revolutionary legacy associated with Çayan and THKP-C.
