Maliki school

The Maliki school is one of the four major Sunni schools of Islamic law. It derives its jurisprudence from Malik ibn Anas and is especially influential in North and West Africa.

Malik ibn Anas: An eighth-century Medinan jurist whose teachings became the foundation of the Maliki school. His legal opinions and transmitted teachings anchor the school’s jurisprudence.
