Manila

Manila is the capital city of the Philippines, on the western coast of Luzon. It is a densely populated port city and the historic core of Metro Manila.

Maynila: Maynila was a precolonial settlement on the southern bank of the Pasig River, near present-day Manila. The settlement that preceded Spanish Manila occupied the same strategic river mouth.
Luzon: Luzon is the largest island in the Philippines and includes the national capital region. Manila lies on Luzon’s western coast.
