Manuel Gamio

Manuel Gamio (1883–1960) was a Mexican anthropologist and archaeologist whose research on Indigenous communities helped establish modern Mexican anthropology and shape indigenismo.

Franz Boas: Franz Boas was a German-born anthropologist who helped establish anthropology as a modern academic discipline in the United States. Boas taught Gamio at Columbia and influenced his archaeological and ethnographic methods.
