Marcion of Sinope

Marcion of Sinope was a second-century Christian teacher who rejected the Hebrew scriptures and promoted a canon centered on an edited Gospel of Luke and Pauline letters.

Marcionite canon: The collection of Christian scriptures associated with Marcion, consisting of an edited Gospel and ten Pauline letters. It gathers the writings Marcion accepted after excluding the Hebrew scriptures.
