Margilan

Margilan is a city in Uzbekistan’s Fergana Region, known for its historic silk-making traditions and the production of ikat textiles.

Atlas silk: A glossy silk fabric woven in Uzbekistan, often patterned with bold ikat designs. Margilan is a major center for making this locally prized silk.
