Marshal of the Soviet Union

Marshal of the Soviet Union was the highest military rank in the Soviet Union, awarded to senior commanders and defense officials. It existed from 1935 until the Soviet Union dissolved in 1991.

Georgy Zhukov: Soviet general who led major Red Army operations during the Second World War and later served as defense minister. His wartime victories made him the rank’s best-known holder.
