Martín Alonso Pinzón

Martín Alonso Pinzón was a Spanish navigator and shipowner who commanded the Pinta during Christopher Columbus’s first voyage to the Americas in 1492.

Christopher Columbus: An Italian-born navigator who led the Spanish expedition that reached the Caribbean in 1492. Pinzón commanded one of the three ships on Columbus’s first transatlantic voyage.
Pinta: A caravel that sailed with Columbus’s first expedition to the Americas in 1492. Pinzón commanded this ship during the westward crossing and return voyage.
