Mary Astor

Mary Astor (1906–1987) was an American film and stage actress whose career spanned the silent era through the 1960s. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for The Great Lie (1941).

The Maltese Falcon (1941 film): John Huston's 1941 film noir starring Humphrey Bogart as detective Sam Spade. Astor's Brigid O'Shaughnessy made this film's deception and shifting loyalties memorable.
