Masinissa

Masinissa was king of Numidia from 202 to 148 BCE. An ally of Rome in the Second Punic War, he expanded Numidian power across North Africa.

Scipio Africanus: Roman general who defeated Hannibal at Zama and ended Carthage’s dominance in the Second Punic War. Scipio cultivated Masinissa as a Numidian ally and fought beside him at Zama.
Numidian cavalry: Light cavalry from North Africa, renowned in antiquity for speed, maneuverability, and fighting without saddles or bridles. Masinissa’s cavalry helped Rome counter Carthaginian forces and contributed to his influence.
