Matsuyama

Matsuyama is the capital of Ehime Prefecture on Shikoku, Japan. It is known for Matsuyama Castle, Dōgo Onsen, and its association with writer Natsume Sōseki.

Matsuyama Castle: A hilltop Japanese castle in central Matsuyama, with an original main keep and extensive defensive structures. The castle is the city’s most prominent historic landmark and overlooks its center.
