Maule Region

An administrative region in central Chile, bordered by the Pacific Ocean and named for the Maule River. Its capital is Talca.

Curicó Province: A province in the northern part of Chile’s Maule Region. Curicó is one of the provinces through which the region is administered.
Carmenère: A red wine grape variety widely cultivated in Chile. Carmenère is among the varieties grown in Maule’s vineyards.
