Maya calendar

The Maya calendar is a set of interlocking systems for naming days and counting time, including cycles for ritual, solar years, and long historical periods.

Tzolkʼin: A 260-day cycle formed from combinations of 13 numbers and 20 day names. Its day sequence interlocks with the Haabʼ to create the Calendar Round.
Long Count: A positional count of elapsed days, organized into units including kʼin, winal, tun, kʼatun, and baktun. It gives dates a count extending beyond the repeating Calendar Round.
