Mecca

Mecca is a city in western Saudi Arabia and Islam’s holiest city, home to the Kaaba and the destination of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

Kaaba: A cuboid sanctuary in Mecca’s Grand Mosque toward which Muslims pray. The Kaaba is Islam’s central sanctuary and the focal point of pilgrimage in Mecca.
Muhammad: The seventh-century Arabian religious leader regarded by Muslims as God’s final prophet. Islamic tradition identifies Mecca as Muhammad’s birthplace and the setting of his early preaching.
Hajj management: The planning and coordination of pilgrimage rites, crowd movement, transport, and services during Hajj. Mecca must accommodate exceptionally large annual crowds while maintaining safe access to sacred sites.

Conquest of Mecca: The 630 CE capture of Mecca by Muhammad and his followers, followed by the Kaaba’s rededication to Islam. This event established Muslim control of the city and its sanctuary.
