Megaloptera

Megaloptera is an insect order comprising alderflies, dobsonflies, and fishflies. Its aquatic larvae develop in freshwater and prey on other small animals.

Corydalidae: A family of Megaloptera that includes dobsonflies and fishflies. This family contains the large, often conspicuous adults commonly associated with Megaloptera.
Aquatic insect: An insect whose life cycle includes living in water. Megaloptera are defined in part by their aquatic immature stages.
